Spirit of Giving Network Welcomes Two New Members to Its Board of Directors

Boca Raton, FL — The Spirit of Giving Network, a collaborative nonprofit dedicated to strengthening nonprofits across Palm Beach County, is proud to announce the appointment of Michael Sandmaier and Brandon Weitzman to its Board of Directors. These two accomplished professionals bring a powerful combination of financial expertise, legal acumen, and deep community commitment that will help advance the organization’s mission of charity, community, and collaboration.

Michael Sandmaier | Credit Portfolio Manager, TD Bank

Michael Sandmaier joins the Spirit of Giving Board with over a decade of experience in commercial banking and investment risk management. Currently serving as a Credit Portfolio Manager in the middle-market segment at TD Bank, Michael’s professional work centers on financial analysis, credit management, and partnering with business owners and senior executives to support growth and long-term stability — skills that translate directly to nonprofit governance and fiscal oversight.

Beyond his career in banking, Michael has remained deeply connected to his community through youth sports, volunteering as a coach and supporting large-scale community events. It is this blend of professional rigor and personal dedication that drew him to the Spirit of Giving’s model.

“I’m inspired by the Spirit of Giving’s mission and collaborative approach,” said Sandmaier. “The organization plays a vital role in improving outcomes for families and children by bringing together nonprofits, businesses, and volunteers. Serving on the Board is a meaningful way to deepen my involvement in the community and help advance initiatives that create sustainable and measurable impact.”

Michael brings strengths in financial analysis, governance, due diligence, risk management, and strategic decision-making — all critical competencies for a board charged with stewarding donated resources and expanding community reach.

Brandon Weitzman | Attorney, Wites & Rogers, P.A.

Brandon Weitzman is a civil litigation attorney admitted to practice in both Florida and New Jersey, with a focus on real estate-related matters and complex litigation. Currently with Wites & Rogers, P.A., Brandon represents individuals and businesses through every stage of a dispute — from pre-suit through mediation, arbitration, and trial.

Brandon’s legal career includes serving as a Partner and Business Unit Leader at Kelley Kronenberg, where he directed a litigation practice encompassing 300+ cases, managed a team of six attorneys and three paralegals, and drove strategic growth through business development and client relationship management. He has also served as an Adjunct Professor of Business Law at Lynn University, where he mentored students and remained engaged with the local Boca Raton community.

In addition to his legal work, Brandon holds a Master of Business Administration in Marketing and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Lynn University, and a Juris Doctor from Nova Southeastern University’s Shepard Broad Law Center. He is also a licensed Realtor with Regency Realty Services, further deepening his ties to South Florida’s business community.

“I value the Spirit of Giving’s impact on the local community and its focus on collaboration among nonprofits,” said Weitzman. “My career has been centered on helping people navigate complex and often stressful situations, and I’m looking for ways to extend that impact beyond my legal practice. This role allows me to contribute my time and experience while working alongside others who are committed to making a difference.”

Brandon brings clear strengths in strategic thinking, advocacy, leadership, and professional networking — qualities that will enhance the Board’s ability to forge new partnerships and advance civic engagement.

A Stronger Board for a Stronger Community

The addition of Michael Sandmaier and Brandon Weitzman reflects the Spirit of Giving Network’s continued commitment to building a diverse, experienced, and engaged Board of Directors capable of guiding the organization through its next chapter of growth. Together, their backgrounds in finance, law, and community service complement the Board’s existing expertise and strengthen its capacity to serve Palm Beach County’s nonprofit community.

The Spirit of Giving Network operates signature programs including the Annual Holiday Gift Drive — which ensures more than 6,000 local youth receive gifts of their choice — the Community Back to School Bash, the Boca Raton Bowl Charity Partnership, the Community Spirit Race and the Forum for Nonprofits Radio Program, among others.
