The Spirit of Giving Network provides Level 2 – Live Scan background screening services for potential and existing employees/volunteers/license applicants. (DCF, AHCA, VECHS, Elder Affairs, Department of Business and Professional Regulation). The fingerprinting service includes capturing fingerprints that are electronically forwarded to the Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE) and FBI, who then use the fingerprints and personal information to run a complete criminal histories record check. From this information, the regulatory agency and employer determine if there is anything in the records that would disqualify the individual from serving in the program/profession/or obtaining the applied license.
Fees for Fingerprinting – The price depends on the ORI number/code that is going to be attached to your fingerprints. (Price Varies from $65-$85) Currently, we are only accepting prepayment for services.

Live Scan is the name for the technology that is used to capture the image(s) of your fingerprint(s). Essentially, it is a digital image that is captured on our machine much like that of the image created from a copying machine. It is simple, quick and painless.
You must provide a valid (we can not accept expired) Government issued, picture identification such as drivers license, state identification card or passport.
Once we capture your fingerprints, have all required information and payment, we electronically transmit them to the FDLE (Florida Department of Law Enforcement). The FDLE and the FBI (Federal Bureau of Investigation) then commence a criminal history search. Once the law enforcement agencies have completed their search, they send the results to the regulatory agency (such as Department of Children and Families, Agency for Health Care Administration, Department of Business and Professional Regulation etc.) that oversees your employment/volunteer position/license. The regulatory agency then sends notification of the results to your employer. Neither our office nor you will receive the results. The results only go to your employer/volunteer program/licensing agency.
The price depends on the number/code that is going to be attached to your fingerprints.
It should only take approximately 10-15 minutes.
Per FBI regulation, your prints cannot be shared between professions or with other agencies. You are required to have separate prints for each license you are applying for, using the correct ORI.
The Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE) has developed a new feature that will allow an individual or organization to perform a search to determine the status of an applicant Livescan transaction.
The only identifier needed to perform the search is the Transaction Control Number (TCN) which is generated at the time the applicant information and fingerprints are captured.
