The Diaper Bank Program at Mary Help was established in 2014 with the mission of supporting low-income families with infants and young children by providing consistent access to diapers and hygiene essentials. Serving families across South Florida, the program requires participants to register and provide detailed information to determine eligibility. To qualify, the baby must reside with the parent, both mother and baby must attend the Diaper Bank Center, and the family must demonstrate low income or be experiencing an unforeseen financial burden. The program is designed to assist families without functioning as a continual maintenance source. Participants must follow program rules, with suspensions applied for violations. For diapers, there is a general waiting period of 8 weeks between visits and a maximum of 5 visits per year. Clothing, shoes, toys, and other items are available for children up to age 12, helping families with multiple children whenever possible. All items in the Diaper Bank are free, thanks to generous donors. Additionally, the program collaborates with other charitable organizations and agencies to provide families with information on health services, educational programs, and legal services.
