DESCRIPTION:Spirit of Giving to Host 4th Annual Community Spirit Race at  \nFlorida Atlantic University Football Stadium on March 4\, 2023 \n On Saturday\, March 4\, 2023\, Spirit of Giving a collaborative nonprofit in Boca Raton will host its 4th Annual Community Spirit Race. The Community Spirit Race is a large-scale collaborative 5k where local nonprofits can raise money for their mission without any risk or cost to them. Spirit of Giving handles all logistics and planning. \nThis year 25+ local nonprofits including Best Foot Forward\, CROS Ministries\, Girls on the Run\, In Jacob’s Shoes and more will gather along with 2\,000 community supporters. The event will take place at Florida Atlantic University (FAU) Football Stadium. Currently\, the Spirit of Giving serves 95+ local nonprofits through their annual events including the Back to School Bash\, Holiday Gift Drive\, partnership with the Boca Raton Bowl and Community Spirit Race. \nRegistration begins at 6:30 a.m. The 5K run and 1 Mile family walk will begin at 8:00 a.m. After the race\, a Kids Fun Run inside FAU Stadium and award ceremony will take place. A light breakfast and kids’ zone will also be available. \nParticipants can join the event as an individual or join a nonprofit team. Medals will be given for the top three places in each age category and overall best times for males and females. Those not participating in the race may also support the organization of their choice as a virtual runner by creating a personalized fundraising page. Runners and walkers can also make a donation to their favorite nonprofit. The final round of competition in the quest to find the 2022 bowl game National Anthem performer will be an open-to-the-public event at the Boca Raton Marriott at Boca Center. \n  \nPer public voting\, the top five\, who will take the stage are Florida residents: \n\nJillian Flaherty\, 20\, soloist\, amateur\, Lake Worth\nAlisha Harvey\, 49\, soloist\, professional\, Tallahassee\nHadas Levy\, 40\, soloist\, professional\, Boca Raton\nEmily Shecter\, 21\, soloist\, professional\, Wellington\nRylee Siegel\, 20\, soloist\, professional\, Lake Worth\n\nThe idol event takes center stage when the Top Five finalists perform a song of their choice for a panel of judges and live audience. The audience will have the chance to cheer on and vote for their favorite contestant\, and a combination of those audience votes and judges selections will determine the Top Three. The final three will then perform the National Anthem \nto determine the 2022 idol winner. \nAdmission to the live finalists event is $25 per person; $35 per person at the door.
