Featuring WPTV’s First Alert Chief Meteorologist Steve Weagle as emcee\, the evening will be packed with family fun\, complete with the first Santa arrival and meet and greet with the return of his live reindeer on FRIDAY NOVEMBER 17th\, from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at Boca Raton Innovation Campus (BRiC). Offering thousands of free parking spaces\, the event is located off Yamato Road at 5000 T-Rex Avenue in Boca Raton. \n  \nAn illuminated “Snowflake Lane” will usher eventgoers into the winter wonderland of memory-making fun\, with activities\, selfie and group photo opportunities\, and food. All are in anticipation of the lighting of the evening’s centerpiece\, the bedecked 40-foot Christmas tree adorned with thousands of twinkling LED lights and hundreds of ornaments. Interactive entertainment will be led by Celebrity DJ Dennis Michael Stelling (who has opened for John Mayer and others)\, following community choir\, acapella\, and dance performances. DESCRIPTION:Spirit of Giving to Host 4th Annual Community Spirit Race at  \nFlorida Atlantic University Football Stadium on March 4\, 2023 \n On Saturday\, March 4\, 2023\, Spirit of Giving a collaborative nonprofit in Boca Raton will host its 4th Annual Community Spirit Race. The Community Spirit Race is a large-scale collaborative 5k where local nonprofits can raise money for their mission without any risk or cost to them. Spirit of Giving handles all logistics and planning. \nThis year 25+ local nonprofits including Best Foot Forward\, CROS Ministries\, Girls on the Run\, In Jacob’s Shoes and more will gather along with 2\,000 community supporters. The event will take place at Florida Atlantic University (FAU) Football Stadium. Currently\, the Spirit of Giving serves 95+ local nonprofits through their annual events including the Back to School Bash\, Holiday Gift Drive\, partnership with the Boca Raton Bowl and Community Spirit Race. \nRegistration begins at 6:30 a.m. The 5K run and 1 Mile family walk will begin at 8:00 a.m. After the race\, a Kids Fun Run inside FAU Stadium and award ceremony will take place. A light breakfast and kids’ zone will also be available. \nParticipants can join the event as an individual or join a nonprofit team. Medals will be given for the top three places in each age category and overall best times for males and females. Those not participating in the race may also support the organization of their choice as a virtual runner by creating a personalized fundraising page. Runners and walkers can also make a donation to their favorite nonprofit. However\, the 2019 and 2021 games were played on the Saturday before Christmas. In 2019\, the bowl recorded the third-largest TV audience of the pre-Christmas bowl games during its first live airing\, registering a RCBRB record of 2.2 million households. \nConference affiliations for this year’s matchup include the American Athletic Conference\, Conference USA\, Mid-American Conference\, Mountain West Conference\, Sun Belt Conference and selected independents.
